Employees of Multipurpose Reloading Complex were told about efficient measures to prevent COVID-19

On December 10, employees of Multipurpose Reloading Complex (MRC, the port of Ust-Luga) participated in an online meeting with Aleksandr Gorelov, Deputy Director for Research at the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, Chairman of the National Society of Infectious Disease Specialists, Corresponding Member of RAS. The meeting was held in the framework of the company’s information campaign aimed at prevention of the novel coronavirus infection. 

The port employees were told about the virus origin and its impact on the human body, about factors influencing the severity of the disease and ways to prevent complications. The company employees could ask pressing questions including those related to vaccination. Aleksandr Gorelov answered all of them in detail, told about the types of Russian vaccines and dispelled popular myths while giving scientific recommendations.

Multipurpose Reloading Complex sets a priority on its employees’ health. From the very beginning of the pandemic, it has been informing the personnel on the coronavirus prevention measures. The company has organized daily temperature measuring for its employees and prompt testing if COVID-19 case is suspected. Regular disinfection of the terminal premises and handling equipment is conducted as well as distribution of individual protective means and sanitizers.
