Multipurpose Reloading Complex was visited by students of Kingisepp College of Technology and Service

8 October 2021

On 6 October 2021, Multipurpose Reloading Complex LLC (MRC) operating in the port of Ust-Luga welcomed students of GBPOU LO Kingisepp College of Technology and Service (KCTS). The meeting was held in the framework of cooperation between MRC and the educational institution aimed at organization of practical training for students involved in the education programme on training staff for the port of Ust-Luga.

The company specialists arranged a tour around the terminal and told about their activities. Young people visited the berths, learned about handling and port logistic operations, saw the fleet of handling and environment protection equipment which they are going to deal in the future. The students also asked about labour conditions at the port where they are to undergo job training next year. The most promising graduates will be invited to join the company.

That was not the first visit of KCTS students to MRC. Last spring, eight students were trained at the terminal as dock engineers. They were officially employed and paid for their work.

“We are interested in attraction of highly qualified personnel and we are open to cooperation with the specialized educational institutions. During their practical training students can obtain experience of working at an operating facility and demonstrate their real capabilities. It is a good opportunity for a company to see and to employ the most committed people striving to develop professionally”, said Nikita Yaroslavtsev, Chief Production Planning Specialist, MRC.

“The College is eager to arrange practical training for its students at the functioning facilities so that they could obtain a real work experience”, says Ivan Akatov, Deputy Director, Industrial Training, GBPOU LO Kingisepp College of Technology and Service.
