Cargo turnover of the Multipurpose Reloading Complex increased by 25%

For the period of January-September 2017 “Multipurpose Reloading Complex“ (MRC) in the port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad region) handled over 4.15 million tons of cargoes, which is 25% more than last year figure for the same period of time.
Positive dynamics is caused by increase of power coal export by 31% up to 4.02 million tons. The company was able to handle the growing cargo flow in due time owing to realization of development programme, which includes modernization of equipment and purchase of machinery. This year only, MRC additionally bought two new LIEBHERR material handling machines and four interchangeable grabs, which contributed to higher intensity of handling of rail cars.
As a result for 9 months of 2017 the average daily handling of railcars at the terminal increased by 25.5% and amounted to 211 units, the maximum daily handling increased by 3% up to 316 semi-wagons a day. In total 57 697 semi-wagons и 100 cargo vessels were handled at the berths of MRC.
