The results of work of Multipurpose Reloading Complex in the of 1st half of 2016

In the 1st half of 2016 the turnover of LLC “Multipurpose Reloading Complex” (MRC) in the port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad region) amounted to 1.98 mln tons of cargoes which is by 3% less than within the same period of the last year.

The result was caused by the reduction of export volumes of coal by main clients of the company due to the external market situation. Within the reporting period handling volumes of such cargo decreased by 6% to 1.83 mln tons.

The terminal increased handling volumes of manganese ore. Handling volumes of this ore increased by 79% in the 1st half of this year and amounted to 0.15 mln tons.

Within the reporting period average day discharge amounted to 136 open-top railcars, maximum discharge – 299 open-top railcars per day. All in all MRC handled 26 130 open-top railcars and 44 transportation vessels.

Main cargo reloaded by the company is export power generating coal. In 2015 the turnover of LLC “MRC” amounted to 4.2 mln tons of cargo.
