The results of the programme of development of the Multipurpose Reloading Complex

In the first quarter of 2016, 16.4 mln Rubles were invested in development of the port infrastructure of Multipurpose Reloading Complex (MRC) in the port of Ust-Luga.
Main part of investments was spent for purchase of equipment. During the covered period of time the final payments were made for the conveyor line of 9 rubber-tyred mobile conveyors LK-2512. 225 meter long line with the throughput of 1000 tonnes an hour is used for transportation of power plant coal – main cargoflow of MRC – from the yard area of the terminal to the berths. New equipment made it possible to increase the intensity of cargo handling operations, to cut the time of transportation of cargo within the terminal and to improve the technological process as a whole.
Also, to increase the productivity of coal handling and to enhance the capacity of the terminal, the company purchased specialized attachments for the cranes. Also, the design works were carried out for the modernization of berth infrastructure.

LLC “Multipurpose Reloading Complex” is a cargo terminal in the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region, specializing in reception, storage and shipment of export and import general and bulk cargoes. Main cargo reloaded by the company is export power generating coal. In 2015 the turnover of LLC “MRC” amounted to 4.2 mln tons of cargo.
