The turnover of “Multipurpose Reloading Complex” in 2015 grew by 6%

Within 12 months of 2015 LLC “Multipurpose Reloading Complex” (MRC) in port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad region) handled 4.2 mln tons of cargoes which is by 6% more than during previous year.
The growth was caused by the increase of handling volumes of the main cargo of the company – export power generating coal - by 3% up to 4.1 mln tons In 2015 0.1 mln tons of import manganese ore was also handled (in 2014 this cargo was not handled).
Average day handling of railcars at the terminal increased by 3%, up to 162 units, maximum handling amounted to 346 open-top railcars per day which exceeds by 25% the results of 2014. All in all in 2015 MRC handled 59 016 open-top railcars and 90 vessels.
The growth of key production indicators was caused by the following: the company started to handle open-top railcars with bigger capacity, put into operation new equipment– three manipulator cranes MANTSINEN 12-R with capacity of bucket and grab of 5 m3 and lifting capacity up to 10.5 tons, two front loaders KOMATSU WA420-3 with bucket capacity of 5.5 m³ and lifting capacity up to 10 tons, and also logistic system at the terminal was improved.
