Multipurpose Reloading Complex LLC handled 5.4 million tonnes in 2018

8 February 2019

In 2018, Multipurpose Reloading Complex LLC (MRC, a company of UCL Holding) operating at the port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad Region) handled 5.4 million tonnes of cargo, which is 3% less as compared with the result of 2017.

The decrease of total throughput should be attributed to reduction of pet coke exports by a half to 115,000 tonnes while transshipment of power coal, the company’s main cargo, remained flat, year-on-year, at 5.29 million tonnes. In the reporting period, the company fulfilled its obligations to clients in full having implemented its export plans in compliance with the requests for cargo handling.

In the reporting period, average daily handling of railcars totaled 206 units with maximum result as high as 316 railcars per day. In 2018, MRC handled 75,368 open-top railcars and 156 cargo vessels.
