Throughput of Multipurpose Reloading Complex exceeds 1 million tonnes

In the first quarter of 2018, OOO Multipurpose Reloading Complex (MRC) handled 1.02 million tonnes of cargo, which is 20% less as compared with the same period of 2017.
 

The decrease should be attributed to the challenging ice situation in the beginning of the year amid which the number of vessels handled in the reporting period fell by 23% to 27 units. In the first three months of the year the terminal handled 980,000 tonnes of steam coal and 40,000 tonnes of pet coke. Average daily handling of railcars - 184 units, maximum handling of railcars – 274 units per day. Total handling of railcars in the reporting period – 16,594 units.

 OOO Multipurpose Reloading Complex (MRC) is cargo terminal in the port of Ust-Luga, Leningrad Region, specializing in unloading, storage and loading of exported and imported general and bulk cargoes. The main cargo is export power coal. In 2017, OOO MRC handled 5.5 mln t of cargo.
