Multipurpose Reloading Complex has increased spendings for ecology by 2.3 times

31 July 2017

In the first half of 2017 “Multi-Purpose Reloading Complex, LLC” (MRC) in the port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad region) spent 2.4 mln rbls for realization of the ecological programme, which is by 2.3% more than during the same period of last year.

The growth was mainly conditioned by sevenfold increase of expenses for modernization of the terminal’s ecological facilities. For instance, in order to comply with the applicable environmental laws, MRC carried out reconstruction of temporary waste accumulation area.

As part of water resources preservation effort the company carried out systematic monitoring of natural waters quality, the use of the shore front and waste waters treatment.

For the purpose of air protection the company took necessary measurements on the border of sanitary protection zone. Measurement results showed full correspondence of air quality to the accepted standards.

In order to comply with regulations on safe management of production and consumption wastes, the company ensured their scheduled records and removal and controlled conditions of their temporary accumulation.
