The results of the environmental programme of the Multipurpose Reloading Complex  in 2016

3 February 2017

In 2016 the Multipurpose Reloading Complex (MRC) in the port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad region) invested 1.9 million RUR in environmental protection programme.

To eliminate any negative impact on the aquatic resources the company monitors quality of natural water, controls proper management of the coastal zone and treats the waste waters on a regular basis. Also, in 2016 MRC completed the works on modernization and technical maintenance of waste treatment facilities.

The company also monitors atmospheric air quality at the boundary of sanitary protection area to protect it from any contamination. The results of the tests confirmed that air quality corresponds to the existing standards.

To ensure safe treatment of wastes from production and consumption MRC registers them all the year round and removes from the territory on a regular basis and monitors safe storage of wastes at temporary accumulation points.
